Marisa O’Neill is the CEO of RetireMed, one of the Midwest’s largest advisors in Medicare plan selection. She is proud of her role in helping to create a culture that supports employees, earning RetireMed the distinction as one of the Best Places to Work by the Dayton Business Journal.

She joined RetireMed in 2010 and also has held the positions of chief growth officer, director of business development, and business developer. Prior to joining RetireMed, she was a business developer at Great American Insurance in Austin, Texas.

“Over the years, I’ve heard story after story – but my favorite was the first year I worked here,” she explained. “I was in sales that fall and was enrolling a couple who was turning 65 – they were already retired and had been paying a huge amount for their insurance. She was on oxygen but he had little with regard to health care. When they found out what their new costs would be and how well their new coverage would provide for her, he looked at her and said, ‘well honey, maybe we can start to go out to dinner again.’ As a young person in my 20’s, it just stuck with me so much what a sacrifice these two had made to make sure she had the care she needed.”

O’Neill has served on the Board of the Alzheimer’s Association of Cincinnati since 2019 and is chair of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s ─ Cincinnati Tristate in 2022. In addition, she is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.

She is a graduate of Saint Louis University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, and was a member of the swim team. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Andrew and three little boys. She enjoys waterskiing, reading, and shuttling kids to sports.
